Federal reserve monetary policy instruments

The article is devoted to the analysis of the monetary policy of the US Federal Reserve. Market and administrative instruments of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy are investigated. The goals of using the policy of reserve requirements and activities in the "discount window" are determined. The reasons for the dominance of operations on the open market are identified. The anti-crisis package measures taken in 2020 to support the US economy are considered. The role of the US FRS policy for maintaining the liquidity of the banking system is substantiated.
