An inheritance contract as the basis of an inheritance relationship

Currently, Russian inheritance legislation is in the process of being reformed. In the article the author analyzes a new institution of inheritance law - inheritance contract. The article defines the scope of possible use and potential of the inheritance contract. Based on the analysis of legal norms, scientific literature, conclusions are drawn about the legal nature of the inheritance contract, the criteria for distinguishing the inheritance contract from the will and other types of contracts, and the possibility and prospects of using the inheritance contract.
