Regional competitiveness potential as an object of management in conditions of instability of the economic system

The article deals with topical issues of managing the competitiveness potential of the region. General works and recommendations on this topic are generalized and the author's version of generalized characteristics is proposed within the framework of the scheme for providing a competitive region as an economic entity. The issue of the place of competitive advantage in the system of competitiveness has been studied and highlighted. A model of the competitive position is proposed and the main directions and mechanisms of its organization and development are highlighted. The issues of approaches to the management of competitive potential, vectors and strategic directions for the development of the region's competitive advantages in conditions of economic instability are discussed separately.
