The legal status of women in the Russian state from the X to the first half of the XVII centuries

The article is devoted to the legal status of women in the Russian state from the XX th to the first half of the XVII centuries. Authors investigate the legal status peculiarities in family and property relations of women and special features of criminal law protection. The Establishment analyses of property and property rights of women in inherit immovable property (estate, domain) are also taken into consideration. In conclusion, the legal status of women up to the middle of XVII century was regulated in detail by canon and secular law.
