Present and future development of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation

The article discusses the main processes of transformation of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation from the collapse of the USSR to the present day. The author highlights the main requirements for the formation of new approaches to conducting effective activities of defense industry enterprises in modern conditions. The article offers the main advantages and opportunities of clustering the military-industrial complex, taking into account the new challenges of our time (wars, competition, and the arms race). Emphasis is placed on the importance of combining the strategic goals of ensuring the country's state security with the economic feasibility of military industry production.
