Regulation of green finance in developed countries – an example for Russia

Green finance has become one of the main trends in the development of the 21st century financial system. Their integration into national development strategies, great attention to them at the international level and a number of other measures aimed at the development of this financial sector speaks of its great influence on the world economy. Developed and developing countries' approaches to the development of this sector differ significantly, but a number of key points remain the same. The authors have identified these points as the most frequently used stages in the formation of green finance in developed countries. Some national innovations in this system are also highlighted. The Russian green finance market is in a state of constant contradictions between key regulators, and therefore the approaches that exist in developed countries and those countries that have advanced far on the path of developing green finance are not suitable for the Russian Federation. The authors have highlighted several recommendations and issues that need to be implemented and resolved in Russia for a decent development of the green finance sector.
