The terms of an administrative investigation. Problematic issue

The article is devoted to an important area of activity of law enforcement agencies as conducting administrative investigations in cases of administrative offenses. The author focuses on the fact that in law enforcement practice, employees of internal Affairs bodies face problems related to issues that are not regulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation. Namely, the lack of the possibility of extending and suspending cases of administrative offenses. As often in practice, the timing of certain procedural actions in cases of this category does not allow you to make an objective and legal decision within the time frame set for this. In addition, the author focuses on the discrepancy between the Statute of limitations for bringing a person to administrative responsibility and the terms of conducting an investigation in cases of administrative offenses of certain categories. These problems in practice create difficulties in the course of conducting investigations in cases of administrative offenses. In the article, the author makes a number of suggestions for improving administrative legislation in order to improve the activities of law enforcement agencies in this area.
