Problematic aspects of interaction between lawyers and the penal enforcement system

This article is devoted to the legal analysis of the relationship between lawyers and the system of execution of sentences in the Russian Federation. The authors point to the lack of legal uniformity in relation to a number of problematic issues that are the reason for the violation of the constitutional rights of persons detained and sentenced to imprisonment. The work also indicates the adoption of legislative norms that complicate the provision of legal assistance in correctional institutions as violations of the rights of lawyers in providing legal assistance to this category of persons. The legal analysis allows the authors to draw conclusions that the complex of existing reasons often leads to the lack of a lawyer's ability to provide qualified legal assistance and, as a result, to serious violations of the constitutional rights of prisoners.
