To the question of legal regulation of the inheritance contract in the Russian Federation

in this article, the authors consider the issues of legal regulation of such an institution of civil law as an inheritance contract. The authors draw attention to the fact that this institution is quite new in the modern legal technology for regulating relations associated with the transfer of property rights from the testator to the heir, and its basic principles are not yet actively applied in practice. At the same time, the authors emphasize that not only direct heirs, but also other persons can act as parties to the execution of this agreement. In addition, the authors assess the similarities and differences in the application of this institution with the institution of inheritance by will.
