About the riskiness of the insurance contract according to the legislation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan

Based on the study of the points of view of civil scientists and economists, the article considers the issue of the riskiness of an insurance contract, as well as a comparative analysis of the civil legislation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan on this issue. The author identifies the main features of an insured event as an essential condition of an insurance contract, presents arguments about the risky nature of any insurance contract, regardless of the type of insurance, as well as about the baselessness of the theory of risk-free insurance.
