Glamping as a trend of modern tourism in Russia and abroad

This article is devoted to one of the actively developing worldwide placement format - glamping. The article examines the historical prerequisites for the emergence of this accommodation format in the world, its popularization from the moment of its appearance to the present, lists the main differences between glaming and camping. The article emphasizes that a clear definition of the concept of "glamping" is not enshrined either in regulatory documents or in special literature. There is no uniform classification of glamping sites as accommodation facilities. This fact, on the one hand, complicates the development of glamping, and on the other hand, it is a powerful stimulus for its development. This format of accommodation attracts tourists traveling by car who want to combine outdoor activities without sacrificing comfort. Analysis of various materials allowed the author to formulate a conclusion about the state of glamping in the Russian Federation, and also that this placement format is very promising for Russia, since will contribute to the development of tourism in the regions of the country.
