On the issue of violation of the principle of independence of the Bar by amendments proposed by the draft Federal Law “On Amendments to the Federal Law “On Advocacy and Advocacy” regarding the disciplinary responsibility of a Lawyer

The article is devoted to the analysis of the draft Federal Law "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On Advocacy and Advocacy in the Russian Federation", developed by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. The authors consider the legislative initiative proposed by the department in terms of the possibility of participation, and in fact the influence of the latter on the implementation of the norms concerning the disciplinary responsibility of lawyers. This innovation is assessed by the authors as unacceptable interference in the affairs of the legal community and violation of the principle of independence of the bar by the state (state bodies).
