Territorial and regional features of crime: prevalence, problems of studying

Crime in Russia annually acquires incredible scales and sophisticated forms of existence, the mechanism of criminal activity is constantly being improved, the undesirable orientation of the current crime is its territorial and regional prevalence. The author, based on the analysis of statistical data and materials of judicial practice, analyzed the current territorial and regional prevalence of crime, identified the specific features of its prevalence. Based on the study of the territorial prevalence of crime, the problems of its study are identified and some measures are outlined to prevent regional crime, increase measures to combat it effectively.
