This article discusses the most controversial issues that arise when concluding an annuity agreement, analyzes the dynamics of concluding annuity agreements and draws a conclusion about the reasons for its decrease. The prospects for the development of the contractual institution of rent are studied, and some changes are proposed in the field of legal regulation of this institution.
