The level of economic security of the regions Volga Federal District

The article describes the indicators of economic security of the region, allowing to determine the level of threats from the economic, financial, industrial or social factors on the basis of threshold values that take into account the current state of economic development in the country. The system of indicators characterizing the level of economic security of the region has special requirements, including objectivity and timeliness of reflection of crisis phenomena in the economy. This is a complex methodological task and its solution is possible only with a certain classification of existing indicators. The threshold values of the economic security indicators of the region are closely interrelated with each other, and therefore it is not allowed to improve one indicator due to the deterioration of the values of another indicator. The study revealed that the most developed regions in the field of economic security in the Volga Federal District are the Republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan. The lowest level of economic security in the Republic of Mari El, the Kirov region and the Penza region.
