Ecosystem as a bank’s business model: advantages and disadvantages

This article is devoted to the analysis of the content and factors of the formation and development of business ecosystems. The features of the ecosystems of banks as business models of their activities, mandatory features reflecting their differences from other business models, types of ecosystems of Russian banks are considered. The advantages and disadvantages of banking ecosystems, potential risks and threats they pose to credit institutions and users of their services are analyzed. The reserves of effective development of ecosystems of Russian banks have been identified.
