Sustainable development of agriculture is an important factor in ensuring food security

The article is devoted to solving global challenges that have appeared in society in recent years in connection with ensuring the country's food security The author emphasizes that there is a clear decrease in the volume of food supply in the country. In this regard, the development of concepts of sustainable agricultural development and climate-oriented agricultural production becomes extremely important. Sustainable development of agriculture, which makes it possible to implement all the provisions of the country's Food Security Doctrine, is understood by the author from the point of view of national sovereignty and ensuring the country's food security. At the same time, the efficiency of agricultural production should be determined taking into account climatic changes. To do this, the author proposes to develop a national climate risk management system that should cover all regions of the country and a number of large sectors of the Russian economy. For the transition of agriculture to a model of sustainable development, there is a need for state regulation. According to the author, there are all objective conditions conducive to a rapid qualitative transition to this model. The Government has developed a scientific and technical program in the field of environmental development of Russia and climate change for the period 2021-2030.
