In this article, the authors analyze the legal mechanisms for the implementation of housing policy at various stages of the historical development of the Russian state, note the continuity of the social orientation of this sphere of public relations.
Assessing the progress made in solving the housing problem, the authors draw attention to the problematic aspects of regulating housing legal relations at the present stage of the socio-economic development of the Russian Federation, emphasizing that the task of providing citizens with affordable and comfortable housing remains relevant.
