Trends in foreign direct investment in modern conditions

The features and main trends in changes in the amount of foreign direct investment in recent years are considered. It is shown that in 2021 there was a certain recovery in the amount of foreign direct investment after the pandemic. It is noted that in modern conditions, the amount of foreign direct investment is influenced by such factors as the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the deterioration of the global political situation, sanctions, the conduct of a special military operation, and others. It is concluded that in the next year we should not expect an increase in FDI, in the most favorable scenario, their amount will remain at the same level.
