The article analyzes the technological aspects of the activities of services that ensure the turnover of digital assets in the sphere of their control. Control is necessary to counteract the conduct of illegal criminal acts on laundering illegal income and financing terrorism. It is proved that those control methods that are based on the essence of technological processes can be considered more effective. It is indicated that some systems do not fully use the described capabilities, which reduces the reliability of financial turnover based on digital instruments.
