Legal support of the safety of medicinal products circulating on the Russian market on the example of parallel imports

The article analyzes the issue of access to quality medicines in the framework of the recent events taking place in the world related to the COVID-19 pandemic, indicating that drug safety is not only becoming a national security problem for individual countries, but is developing into a serious global problem. Faced directly with the lack of such access due to the consequences of the spread of coronavirus infection, the question is raised about a detailed analysis of the causes that led to the development of such problems, and it is also proposed to discuss a number of changes in legislation adopted by the state in order to make proposals for further improvement of activities in the field of drug safety. Through the analysis, the author concludes that when ensuring the safety of the circulation of medicines in the post-COVID period, the principle of health protection is implemented, while safety implies a guarantee from the state that there are no medicines in circulation that do not meet the requirements. It is noted that the state respects the priority of the sphere of human interests when solving problems arisen in the post pandemic period.
