Formation and development of Russian and Kalmyk land and property and territorial relations from the middle of the XVII century – the second half of the XVlll century

the most difficult problem of Russian and Kalmyk relations since appearance of Kalmyk nomads on Volga in the first half of XVll century were land and property legal relations. On the one hand, they were connected with territorial sovereignty of Russian empire, on the other hand - with the principle of the nomads relations to the territory as itself – the common land. That was exactly the situation where both Russian and Kalmyk ancestors – Oirats found mutual understanding.
