Analysis of the influence of factors on the volume of grain production in Heilongjiang province (China)

Grain crops are the basis of the existence of mankind and the basis of the economic development of many countries, therefore they play an important role in stabilizing society and the economy. Therefore, the analysis of factors affecting the volume of grain production is always quite an urgent issue in the management of the economy of the region and the country. In order to create a more effective guarantee system for grain safety and in-depth study of the profound factors influencing the volume of grain production, the article analyzes the current situation in this sector of the economy of Heilongjiang province. Using the method of factor analysis and statistical software, the analysis of eight key factors affecting the volume of grain production in the period from 2006 to 2019 was carried out. As a result of the research, two main groups of factors affecting grain production have been identified. In particular, the first group is the amount of chemical fertilizers consumed, the amount of agricultural polyethylene film used, and the amount of pesticides used. The second group of factors is natural factors, which include the area subject to flooding. Using the construction of a complex model of the overall assessment, the rationality of the factor analysis was verified and proved. According to the results of the study, measures are proposed to increase the volume of grain production in Heilongjiang province.
