Programming in MATLAB to optimize innovation processes

Calderon Roberto Daniel  (Teacher, UTE University (Ecuador); PhD student, Southwestern State University)

Ecuador showed a significant GDP growth in the decade from 2010 to 2020, however, behind this growth there was no diversification of added value in national production. The implementation of innovation processes in the Ecuadorian business sector is a current need for the country to have an established growth guide to achieve short, medium and long-term goals. Innovation is the set of processes focused on improving production related to processes or products. In this area, mathematical tools are proposed and described that allow optimizing the performance of a productive organization from an objective, statistical and descriptive perspective, turning linear algebra and MATLAB into business improvement sources.

Keywords:innovation, matrices, linear algebra, MATLAB, efficiency, effectiveness.
