International experience in regulating support for small and medium-sized businesses

The experience of supporting and controlling SMEs in Europe is considered, which consists in strengthening the integral system of the EU internal market, eliminating administrative barriers to servicing small and medium-sized enterprises, standardizing the legislative framework, as well as deepening the interaction of EU countries for economic cooperation with other countries. The main directions, principles and functions of the EU policy on SME development, from the implementation of production improvement, including R&D, to the protection of the interests of small and medium-sized businesses at all levels of government, have been studied. The measures of state support that will allow business in Russia to make a significant contribution to employment, replenishment of budgets through taxation, the formation of the middle class and institutions of secular society are proposed.
