The article provides a substantiation of the organizational capabilities of science-intensive enterprises in rocket and space engineering. The analysis of current problems and specific features of the industry was carried out. The paper presents the hierarchy of organizational abilities and the theoretical and methodological substantiation of this scientific category. Relationships between the properties of the adaptability of the control system of rocket and space engineering enterprises, its viability and organizational abilities, including dynamic and functional ones, are established. The high role of directive management of vertically integrated structures, low speed of response to market demands and accumulated organizational skills in the formation and development of organizational abilities of rocket and space engineering enterprises are proved.
