Corruption as a threat to combating illegal organization and conduct of gambling

The article is devoted to the analysis of corruption crimes committed in the course of the activities of illegal gambling establishments. The issues of the negative impact of corruption on various areas of activity are considered. Studied the statistical data of the state of the fight against corruption. The most common elements of corruption crimes are considered. Some normative legal acts regulating the fight against corruption in the Russian Federation are analyzed. The author made an attempt to analyze the relationship between corruption crimes and illegal organization and conduct of gambling. Based on the studied practice of investigating criminal cases, the author identifies the main types of corruption committed by both the organizers of illegal gambling and law enforcement officers. The author analyzed the materials of criminal cases against persons who prevented the fight against illegal gambling, identified problematic issues related to the investigation of such crimes. Ways to improve the detection, disclosure and investigation of the facts of illegal organization and conduct of gambling are proposed. The issues of interaction between law enforcement agencies in the fight against illegal gambling are considered.
