Linguistic peculiarities can cause barriers and complicate the communication process for the parties. Successful communication can be hindered not only by the language barrier in the usual understanding for ordinary people, that is, ignorance of a foreign language, but also ignorance of linguistic and cultural features and nuances. The authors of this work have studied the linguistic features of communicative conflicts, as well as the influence of linguistic and cultural barriers on the course of the conflict. The study revealed that linguistic features certainly affect the course of a communicative conflict and can provoke its occurrence. This work will be relevant for high school lecturers who teach speech disciplines and conflictology.
