the scientific article presents the results of the analysis of modern approaches to the study and understanding of the role of finance in the modern world while promoting economic development. The relevance of the issue is due to the transformational processes taking place with finance, which are formed under the influence of the fourth industrial revolution and the application of modern management methods. The impact of the results of the fourth industrial revolution on the transformation of the financial sector has been assessed. The characteristics of possible methods for managing and researching financial issues in the modern world are described.
