This paper presents the author's proposals for a full-scale and periodic assessment of the hydrocarbon dependence of enterprises, corporations, industries and regions of Russia in the context of the upcoming energy transition from traditional hydrocarbon fuel and energy resources to alternative energy. The paper considers the priority tasks of the Russian economy in the context of the global energy transition that has begun, and also provides ideas about the prerequisites for creating a new world economic theory (model).
