The article considers approaches to the analysis of the behavior of private investors in financial markets from the point of view of the influence of narratives on financial decision-making. The effect of meme shares and the role of financial histories in the formation of private portfolios are analyzed. On the example of the "people's portfolio" the role of narratives in the practice of private investment is demonstrated.
