SOCIAL INEQUALITY IN THE DIGITALIZATION OF THE SPHERES OF URBAN LIFE IN ST. PETERSBURG

The presented article actualizes the problem of digital inequality among the population living in the districts of St. Petersburg. This inequality manifests itself both in the distribution of digital goods between districts and in the use of online services by the population. The analysis showed that in St. Petersburg, despite the leading places in the field of digitalization, there are problems that hinder intensive development: the lack of reliable statistical information in the public domain, inconsistency of public authorities, unequal distribution of digital equipment in St. Petersburg districts, inequality in the use of online services among the population of St. Petersburg districts. The main goal is to study the results of a survey of residents of St. Petersburg on digitalization. The object of the work is the digitalization of the spheres of urban life in the districts of St. Petersburg. The subject of the work was the practice of sociological analysis of the results of a population survey on the problem of inequality in digitalization. In the course of the survey, the influence of age, income, education and geographical location (district) on Internet access, awareness, skill level, trust and benefits is studied. The data are analyzed in the following areas of life: urban environment, healthcare, education, public administration. The spheres of activity are defined in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
