The relevance of the topic is justified by the fact that higher education has a high degree of importance for the development of the country. In this case, the priority is given to the universities providing quality services, offering the most relevant educational programmes, using innovative and digital learning systems. The article deals with methods to assess the competitiveness of universities, which identify the advantages and opportunities of universities, participants in the market of educational services. The paper identifies that most of them are similar in nature, using a set of factors and criteria to evaluate the level of competitiveness of educational institutions on a particular scale. It is proved that the most effective are the ratings of universities.
The purpose of scientific practical research consists in determination of effective methods of an estimation of competitiveness of the higher educational institutions.
