The author of this article aims to attract the attention of specialists in various fields of knowledge, but primarily the legal community, in the problem of applying the concepts of narcotic and near-narcotic subjects, focusing on the lost historical knowledge. The conducted research captures the aggressive distortion of the conceptual field by commercial and pharmaceutical structures aimed not only at extracting benefits, but also obviously threatening the security of the population of the Russian Federation. The author hopes to be able to launch a mechanism to "think" in this direction, and create real ways to counter threats in practice.
