FORENSIC CHARACTERISTICS OF ILLEGAL ORGANIZATIONS AND OFFENSES IN THE TERRITORY INTENDED FOR GAMBLING AND BEYOND

The article is devoted to the analysis of the characterizing features of illegal organization and conduct of gambling. Examples of crimes committed both in the territories of permitted gambling zones and outside such territories are given. Based on the studied practice of investigating criminal cases, the author identifies the main distinguishing features of illegal organization and conduct of gambling. The author made an attempt to characterize the most typical characteristics of illegal organization and conduct of gambling, the analysis and correlation of which is aimed at establishing the nature of the crime being committed, possible organizers of illegal gambling in the investigation of crimes of this category. The author analyzed the materials of criminal cases in this area, identified the problematic issues of identifying persons involved in the commission of such crimes and bringing them to criminal responsibility.
