OPPORTUNITIES AND THREATS FOR THE BANKING SECTOR IN THE ERA OF DIGITALIZATION

The main purpose of this article is to study the modern features of the development of the banking sector, as well as to identify the opportunities and threats associated with the challenges of digitalization. The article substantiates that the digital transformation of the banking sector provides the following benefits: increasing productivity through digital technologies, changing the business model and increasing the productivity of employees, better meeting customer needs, etc. The threats of digitalization for the banking sector were: security issues, increased competition , the need for and investment in modern technology and equipment.
