The article highlights the issue of the causes of emergencies related to injuries or death of police officers in the performance of their official duties. The author offers his own classification of mistakes made by police officers while on duty, which can lead to emergencies with socially dangerous consequences. The article analyzes the most common mistakes made by police officers of various departments in contact with offenders, including those made by them during roadside inspections, vehicle inspections and checking the driver's documents.
