LEGAL REGIME OF HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL PROTECTION ZONES AS A WAY TO PROTECT THE TERRITORY OF A CULTURAL HERITAGE OBJECT

The article considers the legal regulation in the laws and by-laws of the Russian Federation of issues related to the existing types of the zone of protection of the object of cultural heritage, the views of researchers on the concept of "historical and cultural territory". The issues related to the protection of the territory of the cultural heritage object are analyzed from the standpoint of current legislation and examples of judicial practice. A number of problematic issues in the studied area have been identified and proposals aimed at improving the legal regime of these territories have been formed. The relevance and importance of compliance with the legal regime of historical and cultural protection zones, as well as the need to combine the efforts of the state, investors and the public in the preservation of historical and cultural heritage are substantiated
