The article focuses on the development of methodological foundations for assessing the effectiveness of managing digital transformation processes in economic business systems. The purpose of the study is to create scientifically based proposals regarding assessment methods and indicators that could reflect the multifaceted impact of digital technologies on the economic efficiency and strategic orientation of business systems. The methodological approach is determined by the analysis of modern assessment methods, identification of their limitations in the context of digital transformation, and the subsequent formation of a comprehensive assessment system. This system proposes a combination of production and economic indicators, taking into account strategic objectives and the expected effects from the introduction of digital technologies. The results of the study include developed scientifically based proposals, characterized by specialized indicators reflecting the degree of penetration of digital technologies in various sectors of the economy. It is noted that the proposed methods and indicators make it possible to comprehensively assess the effectiveness of digital transformation management, providing a multifaceted analysis of the impact of digitalization at the levels of management of economic business systems. Further directions of research are related to testing the proposed methodology on practical examples, developing software for automated collection and analysis of data on the proposed indicators, as well as expanding the list of indicators taking into account the rapid development of digital technologies and changes in the external business environment. Particular attention is planned to be paid to cross-industrial analyzes that reveal the relationships between various sectors of the economy in the process of digital transformation.
