Decriminalization of the economy is the most important task of modern Russia, since the conditions and efficiency of the business environment, the development of industry and the prospects for the growth of production and other infrastructures in the country depend on it. The legacy received after the 90s in the country left a lot of negative trends, expressed in bureaucracy, corruption and other negative phenomena, which contributed to a significant criminalization of the economic conditions of doing business. In this regard, the Government is working on areas that stabilize economic security, highlighting economic crimes in a separate area of criminal law. At the same time, the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is regularly supplemented and changed, as a result of which measures are being taken to prevent and prevent violations of the law, as well as the conditions of freedom of business and the normal functioning of entrepreneurs in the country.
Decriminalization of economic crimes is a positive trend of lawmaking, actively used in recent years, which significantly allows increasing the transparency of criminal legislation and preventing the commission of crimes that hinder the formation of a favorable economic environment.
The purpose of this article is to study the trends of decriminalization of crimes in the criminal legislation of Russia and to determine the directions of their development.
