The article, based on documents of a criminal-legal nature, as well as scientific publications, examines the features of the criminal-legal system of modern Japan – from 1945 to the present: a review and analysis of post-war reforms in this area, rescripts of the occupation, the provisions of the new constitution, the criminal law system, as well as individual institutions of criminal law.
