METHODOLOGY OF COGNITION OF LEGAL PHENOMENA IN SOCIOLOGICAL JURISPRUDENCE S.A. MUROMTSEV

The article considers the significant ideas of the Russian jurist S.A. Muromtsev as an example of the development of sociological jurisprudence in the pre-revolutionary science of law. Russian scientists have criticized the existing traditions of positivist studies of legal phenomena. The ideas of S.A. Muromtsev were innovative in many ways. His approach to legal problems was very different from the approach to basic research. The main reason for studying these ideas is that they have become the basis of legal realism in Russia, especially sociological jurisprudence.
