THE CONCEPT AND SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROTECTION OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC RIGHTS OF CITIZENS

The purpose of the work is to study the protection of socio-economic rights of citizens. The article uses the dialectical research method as the main method of objective and comprehensive knowledge of reality, formal legal, logical, sociological, systemic and other private scientific research methods. The protection of socio-economic rights is considered as an integral part of the constitutional principle that defines the Russian Federation as a welfare state. It is concluded that this principle implies a set of constitutional rights and freedoms aimed at ensuring a decent standard of living and the free development of each person. The significance of the work is that it examines the features of the positive consolidation of socio-economic rights as a means of legal protection; some features of the modern legal regulation of social security, labor relations, etc. are indicated.
