ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS OF ACHIEVING THE GOALS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF SINGLE-INDUSTRY TOWNS

In the article, the author explores issues related to the sustainable development of single-industry towns and its consequences for the environment. The author defines the concept of "sustainable development" and explains its significance for cities. The paper emphasizes that the goal of sustainable development of single-industry towns is a balanced combination of economic, social and environmental development, which ensures the quality of life of citizens at the present time, while preserving resources for future generations. The author examines environmental risks in the work on the example of Togliatti, provides an analysis of economic problems in working with waste.
