The economic views of the ideologists of Russian mercantilism, advanced thinkers of their era - an outstanding politician and economist of the second half of the XVII century - A. Ordin-Nashchokin and an outstanding thinker - I.Pososhkov, many of whose ideas were subsequently implemented by Peter I, are briefly considered; their activities still arouse genuine interest today.
