The article examines the concept of transnationalism and the phenomenon of transmigrants in the context of increasing globalization. Based on various theoretical and empirical studies, the question is raised about the applicability of the conceptual foundations of transnationalism to the study of migration processes in the Khabarovsk Krai, in particular in the city of Khabarovsk. The article highlights three key ideas of this theory: cyclicality and recurrence of migration, preservation of cultural identity, interconnection and interaction between countries or regions. The purpose of this article is to analyze and study the concept of transnationalism and the phenomenon of transmigrants in the modern world and, in particular, in Khabarovsk. One of the main objectives of the article is to define the basic concepts and theories associated with transnational migration and to conduct research into whether these concepts can be applied to migration processes in the Khabarovsk Krai. The article also seeks to find out who transmigrants within the framework of this concept are and what the features of migration in this context are.
