At the moment in the Russian Federation there is a huge range of investment instruments used by individuals in the financial services market. Despite the large number of these investment instruments, working with them causes certain problems for a significant part of the population due to the complex system of their functioning (first of all, this concerns the securities market and the precious metals market). And even the well-known and publicly available sector as a sector of banking instruments has a number of subtleties and pitfalls, which leads to the loss of funds from a significant part of depositors when conducting operations in this segment of the financial market. The authors set a task to touch on some key segments in which the majority of individuals invest (the market of banking investment instruments, the securities market, and the precious metals market) and try to analyze their reliability, liquidity, profitability.
