In modern conditions of ever-increasing competition, digitalization and the growth of the amount of information that companies operate with, finding effective ways to reduce costs is becoming a critically important task. This is especially true for logistics costs, which can account for a significant part of the company's expenses. One of the most effective modern cost-cutting tools is the use of artificial intelligence. Its use in logistics opens up new opportunities for optimizing many processes, which allows you to effectively reduce the costs of the enterprise. The article discusses the concept of artificial intelligence, the advantages of its use in modern business. The directions of using artificial intelligence in the system of optimization of logistics costs are systematized. The problems and risks of using artificial intelligence in the logistics cost optimization system are presented. The author comes to the conclusion that the main directions of using artificial intelligence in the logistics cost optimization system is its application for: demand forecasting, optimization of delivery routes, automation of warehouse logistics, decision support in logistics. This entails a lot of advantages in the form of more accurate planning of purchases, production and inventories, reducing transportation time and fuel consumption, minimizing errors, reducing order processing time and reducing the need to manually manage inventory (saving on warehouse workers' wages), identifying hidden patterns based on big data analysis, identifying optimal solutions for inventory management, procurement, distribution and transportation.
