The article examines the experience of the introduction of «green technologies» in educational institutions of higher education in Russia. The authors present several main strategies that are implemented by universities to fulfill the "green mission". The programs on sustainable development offered by the best universities in the country, as well as training for practitioners, are considered. Examples of successful implementation of environmental technologies in Russian universities are described. The article may be useful for specialists in the field of ecology and sustainable development, as well as for heads of educational organizations wishing to introduce «green technologies» in their institutions.
