THE IMPORTANCE OF THE GREAT SILK ROAD IN THE CONDITIONS OF GLOBALIZATION

China is trying to become the Middle Kingdom again. This nation, heavily influenced by the West, determines both its own destiny and the destiny of the globe as a whole in the international marketplace. This article examines the history and present of China from the perspective of international trade to understand the impact of globalization on the economy. This article will compare the influence of the ancient and modern Silk Roads on political, cultural and religious landscapes. It will attempt to examine both the historical and contemporary pros and cons of globalization. It uses the idea of the New Silk Road to illustrate Chinese foreign policy in light of the emergence of a new multi-world order and globalization. We argue that one of its concrete manifestations is the current Silk Road initiative, highlighting the potential of great Chinese culture for global governance.
